DUOSWAP

Privacy policy

Last updated: 5 November 2026

This policy explains what happens to your data when you play Duoswap, the Android game (package com.borsanza.duoswap) published by Borja Sánchez Zamorano ("I", "me"). The short version: the only thing that leaves your phone is your best score of each day, for the daily leaderboard, under an automatic name like "Duo 48213" that says nothing about you. There are no ads, no accounts and no analytics.

What the game keeps on your device

To show your records, the game saves a small file on your phone: your best score, today's best score, how many runs you have played today and where you fell last. It never leaves your device, and it is deleted when you uninstall the game or clear its data.

The daily leaderboard

Everyone plays the same map each day, and the game shows a leaderboard of the best score of each player that day. The first time you finish a run, the game creates a player for you on my own server (games-api.borsanza.com) with an automatic name. From then on, when you beat your best score of the day, the game sends that score and the day. My server stores:

  • your automatic name, a random identifier and a secret that only your phone knows;
  • your best score of each day and the version of the game;
  • a protected form (a one-way hash) of your IP address, only to stop abuse, such as someone creating thousands of players.

Everyone who plays can see the names and scores in the leaderboard. Your email, your Google account and your contacts are never sent. If you want your player and its scores deleted, write to me (see "Contact") with the name the game shows next to your score.

Sharing your result

If you tap "Share", Android opens its share menu with a line of text such as your score and medal of the day. Nothing is sent unless you choose an app in that menu; what happens next depends on that app and its own privacy policy.

Vibration

The game asks Android for permission to vibrate the phone. It is only used for short feedback while you play.

Google Play

If you install Duoswap from Google Play, Google processes some data about the installation (such as your device and the app version) to deliver the game and its updates, under Google's privacy policy. I only see that information as totals, such as the number of installs.

Children

The game asks no one, including children, for personal data: the name in the leaderboard is chosen by the server, not by the player.

Changes

If the game changes in a way that affects your data (for example, if players can choose their own name), this policy will be updated before that version is published, and the date above will change.
